
GIFT+HOME is a gift shop based in Altrincham, just south of Manchester. If you’re looking for a gift for a friend or family member, you’re sure to find the perfect thing for them here!
As well as the physical shop, GIFT+HOME also have a comprehensive ecommerce website.
The brief
We were tasked with increase awareness of GIFT+HOME in the Altrincham area and beyond, ultimately encouraging a greater number of customers to buy in-store or through the online shop.
The strategy
The place to start is always an audit followed by the creation of a strategy.
GIFT+HOME were already posting on their social channels so it was interesting to see where the current engagement was coming from – more Instagram than Facebook (see below).

TikTok was also a place where good engagement was being achieved on some pieces of content – mainly focused on Jellycats (soft toys).
From the audit, the below sweet spot was determined from current content performance.

All of this data was then fed into the strategy, which looked at how best to engage our audience across the marketing funnel – and which platforms to focus on.

But like many small businesses, GIFT+HOME didn’t have an unlimited pot of money to spend on digital marketing! So it was important to focus on on three key areas that could have the biggest impact.

- Ongoing organic social media consultancy
- Paid social ads across Instagram & Facebook
- 3x monthly blogs focused on SEO keywords relating to Jellycats
The results (as of November 2024)
- 2.8 million post views and over 300k engagements on TikTok from June – November 2024
- Over 460,000 impressions on Meta ads with a platform-beating CPE (cost per engagement) of £0.005
- 5x revenue increase on the online shop
- 27% revenue increase for the business overall year-on-year
