The Silver Marketing Association is a B2B membership association for companies and individuals from all sectors who have an interest in reaching & influencing the mature market.
There are now more people in the UK aged over 60 than there are under 18, and the number of over 60s is the largest it has ever been at 15.5 million – that’s 23% of the population.
They strive to be a voice for this important but under-exposed area of marketing.
The brief
The Silver Marketing Association tasked us with upskilling their social media team on LinkedIn, which is their primary channel to reach businesses and professional individuals who are interested in marketing to the silver demographic.
LinkedIn was already being used as an effective marketing tool, but further guidance was requested around how to further amplify the brand’s presence, how to make the most of premium features and the best way to activate paid ads.
The strategy
We produced a bespoke LinkedIn training session for the social media team focusing on a number of key areas:
- An audit of how the company page was currently performing
- How to craft an authentic LinkedIn presence
- Inspiration from other brands
- How to make the most of LinkedIn premium
- Targeting customers on LinkedIn and building your network
- Content creation best practice
- Paid ad setup, management and reporting
The session lasted roughly two hours and it was great to chat with the team about how to take the brand forward on LinkedIn.
Check out a few of the slides from the session below…
